1 We begin in God’s name, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful.
2 Righteousness is more than words: it is giving, freeing, keeping faith, and patience in hardship.
3 Let justice stand even against the self, with mercy close by.
4 Purify hands by service and hearts by remembrance.
5 The path is straight when we walk it together, caring for the orphan and the traveler.
6 Come, let compassion be our prayer answered in deeds.
